Hier soir, à peine avions nous regagné nos pénates bretonnes que Banquise donnait naissance à Esquimau ! Banquise, c'est le nom d'une des charolaises de notre cher voisin. Surprenante coïncidence.
C'est maintenant l'heure des bilans. Tout d'abord sur le périple du Manguier, de Bastia à l'Alaska, via le passage du Nord-Est : un voyage passionnant, mais moins écologique que prévu, analyses à venir. Ensuite, sur les 5 hivernages de Vagabond au Spitsberg : voici un premier compte rendu, en anglais, en attendant le rapport final.
Quelques festivals et autres rendez-vous nous permettront également de partager nos dernières aventures. Plus de détails ici bientôt.
A la fin de l'hiver, Vagabond sera convoyé de Liland, en Norvège, vers la Bretagne, où il sera préparé pour repartir vers l'Arctique en 2011. Entre-temps, d'avril à septembre 2010, l'équipage de Vagabond s'installera à bord d'Ecotroll, cap sur le Groenland !

Last night, we were just back home in Brittany when Banquise gave birth to Eskimo! Banquise (Pack ice) is the name of one of our neighbour's charolais cow. Amazing coincidence.
It is now time for evaluation. First about Le Manguier's journey, from Corsica to Alaska, through the North-East passage: an exciting trip, but not as ecological as planned, analysis to come. Then about the 5 winterings of Vagabond in Spitsbergen: here is a first report, before the final one.
Few festivals and other events will also allow us to share our last adventures. More details here soon.
A the end of the winter, Vagabond will be convoyed from Liland, in Norway, to Brittany, where she will be prepared to sail to the Arctic again in 2011. Meanwhile, from April to September 2010, Vagabond's crew will set up on board Ecotroll, heading for Greenland!
