Support Vagabond expeditions, and keep a unique souvenir of our stops around the Arctic !
Each envelop is decorated with Vagabond's stamps, signed by the crew, and obliterated with local stamp.

Expedition "Scientific wintering in Spitsberg" 2004 - 2005 :

" Longyearbyen " : arrival of Vagabond at Longyearbyen, Spitsberg (August 27th 2004). Out of stock.
" Talk onboard Bremen " : lecture about Vagabond's circumpolarnavigation onboard MS Bremen (polar cruising ship), during her stop in Longyearbyen (August 27th 2004).
" Ny Alesund " : stop of Vagabond at French scientific base Ny Alesund (September 7th 2004). Out of stock.
" Solstice " : winter solstice, in the depth of the long polar night (December 21st 2004).
" End of wintering " : end of wintering and end of scientific mission (May or June 2005).

Each envelop above is sold 8 €, the set of 5 envelops was sold 20 € (out of stock). These envelops will be sent from Spitsberg by normal post.


Expedition "Circumpolarnavigation" 2002 - 2003 :

Envelops (numbered) at 20 € :

" North-East Passage " : envelop (1 to 50) stamped in Murmansk (Russia, 24 July 2002), official entry port of the Northern Sea Route, and also stamped in Provideniya (Bering Strait, Russia, 2 September 2002), upon our arrival at the official exit port of the Northern Sea Route (name of the North-East Passage in Russia). Out of stock.

" 100 years after Amundsen " : envelop (1 to 100) stamped in Gjoa Haven (Nunavut, Canada, 29 August 2003), decorated with a special stamp designed to commemorate Vagabond's stop exactly 100 years after the Gjoa. Amundsen was the first explorer to sail the North-West Passage, on board the Gjoa (1903-1906), he gave the name of his vessel to the village where he spent 2 winters.


Envelops at 8 € :

" First radio interview after the North-East Passage " : Anadyr (Russia, capital of Chukotka, 13 September 2002). Interview on "Purga" Radio (snow storm radio !) : Vagabond, first yacht in history to sail the North-East Passage without wintering.

" Wintering " : Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (Russia, 1st January 2003). Wintering of Vagabond, half way of her polar circumnavigation. Out of stock.

" Birth place of the captain " : Nagoya (Japan, 15 May 2003), Eric Brossier was dreaming about going back to Japan !

" Entrance of the North-West Passage " : Barrow (Alaska, 24 July 2003). Out of stock.

" Exit of the North-West Passage " : Nuuk (capital of Greenland, 17 September 2003).
